I am by no means saying Diddy did not do these things, but when others such as Aubrey was speaking up even earlier than Cassie, why did she not come out with the “truth” at that point? She did not come out, because whatever benefit she was receiving exceeded the detriment she would encounter.

It’s sad enough to hear Dawn discuss her experiences with Puffy, but it is even more heart breaking to hear her discuss what she witnessed Cassie go through. Puffy treated Cassie like she wasn’t a human being. He didn’t even hide it. She had to be absolutely embarrassed to have so many people witness her being beaten and disrespected like that.

As a very young woman I really wanted to be a known singer in the industry. I even had opportunities to work with Russell Simmons, MTV, and Kevin Lyles. Now after hearing the stories of these women I now realize that even though these opportunities didn’t materialize to a career in the music industry I was truly blessed and favored by God. If anyone followed Aubrey’s interviews since Cassie’s case, remember her and Dawn are the only two who didn’t accept Sony’s and Diddy’s payout and NDA. Aubrey specifically stated that they refused to sign it because they didn’t want to be silenced. Where as, the other members of Dk took the little payout and signed the NDA. Aubrey and Dawn urged them not to.
